Which Service is Right For Me?

Why Dynamic Cupping?

By using special silicone cups I can create suction to open up areas of congestion within the muscle and tissues (some may call that a knot!). The silicone cups have a softer edge than other types of cups which allows for good glide over the skin seamlessly fitting into a massage. This also allows me to loosen up tight spaces such as over bones & joints that a regular massage can’t get to. The clear silicone allows me to see the skin underneath and judge the amount of suction created to give you just the right amount of lift. This treatment will leave you feeling relaxed and less restricted in movement. Great for frozen shoulders, scar tissue, continually tight areas. Some studies have even shown it to help decrease cellulite! *Note – this may leave some marks on your body for 3-7 days but it is oh so worth it!

Why Hot Stone?

You know how when your muscles are sore and you have a warm shower or use a hot tub to loosen up? That is what the hot stones are doing for you. I use the stones as a tool in my hand (they are not just placed on your back and left there like you see in 95% of pictures) to help warm and start  increasing the circulation to help penetrate further into the muscles. Another benefit of using warm stones to heat the muscle means there is less tenderness during and after the treatment while getting deeper into the muscle to increase circulation and improve muscle performance. An amazing treatment for those with headaches, arthritis, shin splints, chronically tight shoulders or hips etc.

Why Reflexology?

Reflexology is based on the belief that there are reflexes in the body that correspond to other areas in the body, whether that is an organ, muscle or gland. By working these reflex points the body is stimulated or awakened to bring itself back to balance. A huge benefit to this treatment is the the full body, inside and out, can be worked over without going over an area that may be injured or inaccessible without removing clothing. According tho the Reflexology Association of Canada, reflexology is the least invasive of the alternative therapies and can help with everything from stress, depression & anxiety to increasing circulation, mobility & balancing hormones. Why Raindrop Essential Oil?

This is a very light touch massage that combines specific oils ‘dropped’ along the spine and onto the feet to reduce stress, improve detoxification and boost the immune system. A warm moist compress is used along the spine while the client has a few quiet moments of quiet calm to look deeper into themselves, or sleep (whatever is really needed!). The most common response I get from my clients after a raindrop treatment is the they feel super relaxed and have the best sleep they have had in a long time, who doesn’t want that? *Note: when looking up a raindrop massage there are a lot of concerns about using the oils ‘neat’ or without a diluted/carrier oil, I always use a base oil (coconut oil generally) on the skin before applying the essential oils to help safeguard against skin reactions.
